      Now I have two issues.
      1. The return to roster link goes away if you reload a player bio, or just go directly to it via copy and paste of the bio link

      2. The sidebars do not appear on the player bio pages.

        Hi Kris,
The return to roster link returns to the ‘referrer’, that is, the page that sent you there. So when you reload a page or copy and paste the link into the browser’s address bar, it doesn’t have a valid referrer. I will consider the best way to improve this in the next release. Thanks for calling it to my attention.

I have created a separate post for your second question.

Is there a way to just simply put a link that goes back to the page that is set up on the site where the roster is? This would eliminate the referrer piece, as in can this be deleted and is there way just to put a link back to my roster page?

            Hey Coach,
I think you really want is a link on the Single Player page that goes somewhere, nominally back to the roster gallery for the team the player is a member of. Sound right?

Why not just put the roster gallery in the site’s main menu, which is accessible from the player profile page? (I assume it’s already there.)

If so, one COULD certainly hard code a link to the roster gallery page. That would only work if you had only one roster on a site. If you have more than one, the template would always take you to hard coded page. Probably not what you want. And there’s the problem that every time there’s a new release of the plugin, the changes to the single-player.php template would have to be replaced. That’s not a good model.

I think the plugin COULD look up the player’s team (assuming the player is on only one team), and create a link to that team’s roster gallery. That’s not something I plan to add the general plugin because you can use the back button or the site’s main menu, or even add direct links to a sidebar.

If you would like to pursue this customization for your site, please contact me directly via e-mail and we can talk about what it would take.

            Regards,
            -Mark
