I have used some of the MSTW products in the past and was ecstatic to see Legaue Manager. When I tried to activate the plug-in, the admin crashed and was not accessible. I had to go through FTP and rename the file to my admin to work again.
I tried to deactivate every plugin and start fresh, but the admin crash continues to happen.
Here is what I am using:
Theme: Gameday
WordPress: 4.5.2
MySQL: 5.5.32-cll-lve
PhP: 5.3.29
WP Debugging is not on.
Thanks.
June 10, 2016 at 9:57 am #3797Hi seabass67,
Thanks for posting here so others might be able to share their experiences and/or report the same problem. In fact, there is already something similar in this formumhttps://shoalsummitsolutions.com/forums/topic/error-on-installation/
I believe the issue may be that you are running PhP 5.3. WordPress recommends 5.6 or greater.

I think the previous post in this forum explains the issue.
Let me know.

June 10, 2016 at 12:47 pm #3798Upgrading to 5.6 did work.
I did have another issue. All my data i.e. venues, teams were in MSTW Schedules & Scoreboards. When I went to activate it so I can download the CSV files, it crashed the admin again.
Is that because you can’t have both Schedules & Scoreboards and League Manager activated or is that unrelated.
June 10, 2016 at 7:45 pm #3799You can have S&S and LM activate at the same time. See dev.shoalsummitsolutions.com. Deactivate all the MSTW plugins, and activate them in the reverse order (probably LM first). There can sometimes be a problem with the shared library versions (across the plugins).
June 12, 2016 at 5:16 am #3800I cannot activate S&S at all now. Even when LM is deactivated. The same admin crash occurs that had happened with LM. LM is functioning fine.
These are the only two MSTW plugins I have.
June 13, 2016 at 5:06 pm #3808Thanks for posting here. It helps me keep track of things across a growing user base. So here are my suggestions:
1. I think you had a custom build of S&S. Is that the version that is breaking WordPress? If so, have you tried installing the ‘off the shelf’ version 1.4.1? (You should not lose any data, but I would make a backup anyway, JIC.)
2. Do you have WP error logs enabled? There are posts all over the web, this one for example. If you can provide an error, I’ll have a better chance of figuring out what’s causing S&S to crash. It’s installed and active in an estimated 600 sites, and I’m not hearing this problem, so something is not right.
Let me know.

June 14, 2016 at 3:50 am #3809The problem was resolved by downloading the original version of S&S.
June 14, 2016 at 3:27 pm #3810That’s good news, but I’m now interested in why the custom S&S suddenly started crashing WP. Weird.
