Using the league manager add-on plug in with auto calculate standings.

The top two teams have the same division record. Only division records are counted for standings. The standings settings are configured to reflect that.

The #1 and #2 teams have the same record of 6 wins and 1 loss, but the team ranked #2 beat the team ranked #1.

There is no option for “head to head” in the selectable sort order.

Please advise what settings to change to reflect the correct sort order.

The standings / tiebreaker method used for the league is 1) record and then 2) head to head.

If I can get the standings calculated correctly I can purchase the bracket builder premium to create / manage the district playoffs since the bracket builder premium (as I understand the description) will automatically populate the bracket / seeding based on standings.

    Thanks

      Hey Bob,
Thank you for posting here. This is a great question. The short answer is that the plugin does not support head-to-head as a tie-breaker, because when there are 3 or 4 teams tied, the head-to-head tie-breaker(s) can get complex, not to mention different across leagues. The problem rapidly becomes intractable.

You can always fall back to updating the league records (no auto-update) and use rank (say) to order the standings. Then you have complete control, and you can hide Rank on the front end.

Or you could set certain games as conference games (say) if that field is unused, then break ties with Conf Win %. In your case, you’d mark the #1 v #2 game as conference, and things should work. (You may have to use another field if you are already using conference games.)

      I hope that helps.
