It is with mixed emotions I inform you that on or about October 7, 2026 the shoalSummitSolutions.com website will go off-line. I appreciate all of you who have supported the MSTW Family of Plugins over the years. It’s been fun (more on the journey below).

Effective today the store is closed. You cannot buy new products, but you can still download existing purchases. I will continue to support purchased MSTW products and services via email through their expiration dates, but the support forums, documentation, tutorials, and code snippets will go away in October with the shoalsummitsolutions.com website. The paid plugins and support will not auto-renew. I have cancelled all recurring payments via PayPal, but I suggest you double check your PayPal account just to be sure.
After the site dies I will remove the free plugins from WordPress.org. The documentation and other support materials will go away with the website. (If you plan to hold on as long as you can, you may want to download the documentation you might need. I will have it all on my internal development site.)
This journey began in the pre-auto navigation system days (Anyone remember Thomas guides?) when I built a silly little “Game Locations” plugin for my son’s football program. (Game Venues lives to this day in the MSTW League Manager plugin.) That was sort of fun (WordPress was much better than building websites from the ground up with hand-jammed HTML WP really is very cool for tech geeks.) So I built what became Schedules & Scoreboards for the school. Then out of the blue I’m contacted by a semi-pro basketball team in Split, Croatia asking about translating the plugin into Croatian. What!?!? How the heck do you do that? Turns out it’s not hard (did I mention WP is really cool?) and I just happened to have a friend who’s fluent in Croatian. Then I’m contacted by the Black Demons (American) football team in Madrid and I’m blown away and away we went! Almost 20 years later, it’s been quite a ride – basketball in Croatia, (American) football in Spain, baseball in Erding, Germany, darts in Switzerland, water polo in the UK, rugby in New Zealand, lacrosse in California, high school sports in Fort Wayne and Baltimore … wow!
Now it seems the world is now moving from “hobby shop” plugins to more robust, better funded, feature-rich, professional frameworks for sports, teams, clubs, and leagues that now exist in abundance within the WordPress ecosystem. This was never about the money, but the juice is no longer worth the squeeze. I’ve lost interest in building new plugins (It’s A LOT of work, but I think I built some pretty cool ones!), or keeping up with WordPress.org and their security team, or maintaining the website, the plugins, and all the supporting materials.
In closing, my thanks to all of you for your support; especially those of you who have been with me for a very long time. Feel free to contact me via email at any time. I will continue to support you as best I can.
Good luck and continued success to you all.
