Adding games in MSTW Schedules and Scoreboards

I have a site that covers a league of teams. I would like to have a page for each team that shows their individual scheduled games in either a slider or a table. When I enter games in the Schedules and Scoreboards plugin I am required to assign the game to a schedule (team). In order to display the game in each of the team’s slider or table do I have to enter the game twice (once for each team schedule)? The scoreboard feature allows me to assign the game to both of the teams but the Add Game feature only allows assigning a game to one team. Am I missing something?

Hey John,
Good question. No, you are not missing anything. The plugin was (and is) designed to support individual teams (or organizations/schools) sites, NOT leagues. Many people have requested more support for leagues and their management, so they could do the kind of thing you describe above (among others). I have a client who is interested in ‘league-like’ features, so I may soon go down that road. (Over the holidays, I’ve been looking at how I’d doing it.) Today you would have to enter the game twice, once for each schedule.

First, thanks for the outstanding plugin. Last year, I had to do everything manually, but this has solved all my scheduling issues.

I am following up on John’s question. I was wondering if there was update on being able to assign one game to two schedules.

Our site covers 540 teams which means we have approximately 2700 games. It would be easier to only have to enter each game once.

And if you don’t think this will be updated in the near future, that’s fine. I just want to know that before I start entering the games twice.

Hi Chris,
Right now each schedule is for a single team, so unfortunately there is no capability to add a game to multiple schedules. This will probably be available when I get around to the League Management plugin. (Someday) In the meantime, if I was dealing with 540 teams and 2700 games, I would be importing them via CSV, NOT entering them by hand.
