    Hi,
First the Team Roster 4.0 plugin was updated without following directions. And the teams were gone.
I have deleted 4.0 (couldn’t reinstall older version without deleting) and I reinstalled the 3.1.2 Team roster and they were back.
I installed the MSTW CSV Exporter Plugin and tried to activate it. I got a Fatal error.
Don’t know if this would effect the exporter plugin but, I reread the instructions on upgrading Team Roster plugin and I missed the remove single-player.php and taxomony-teams.php so I removed them, and still get the fatal error with exporter activation. I deleted and reinstalled the exporter plugin with the same fatal results.

Warning: require_once(/home4/killian/public_html/ladyvengeancesoftball.com/wp-content/plugins/./includes/mstw-utility-functions.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home4/killian/public_html/ladyvengeancesoftball.com/wp-content/plugins/mstw-csv-exporter/mstw-

I’m using WordPress 4.2.2 Twenty Twelve Child theme.
Any ideas on how to get the MSTW CSV Exporter to activate?
    Thanks,
    Nancy

    Hi,
I actually have a backup wp-content file from April. My plan is to use my FTP client to drag and drop my backed up file onto the server and overwrite and replace the current wp-content folder. I’m hoping this will get the site back to before the Team Roster update and I can do the update correctly and get the CSV Exporter to install. Or at the very least get the players back.

I really don’t know what I’m doing. If this is a bad idea, let me know.
    Bye,
    Nancy

      Hi Nancy,
I am VERY sorry that I received no notification (from the site) of your post. Did you resolve this issue?

      Regards,
      -Mark

      Computers, got to love them.
I was never able to update. The FTP backup reinstall did get the site back to the way it was and I left it that way. Yesterday, as luck would have it, my cousin, the coach, deleted all the old players, and I’m now planning on deleting all the plugins and just adding the new ones. Bypassing the exporter for now. (I’ve tried to explain the idea of archives to my cousin, but it never clicks.)

Any suggestions or better ideas would be appreciated.
      Bye,
      Nancy

        Hi Nancy,
Again, I apologize for missing your original message.

First, what version of MSTW CSV Exporter are you trying to install?

Second, the error message is strange. The file should be in the directory:

        /wp-content/plugins/mstw-csv-exporter/includes/

        but the message says:

        /wp-content/plugins/mstw-csv-exporter/mstw-

I’m guessing that last word is mstw-csv-exporter, and the plugin is installed incorrectly somehow. (???) Please check that mstw-utility-functions.php file is in .../wp-content/plugins/mstw-csv-exporter/includes/

        Let me know.

I’m installing version 1.2 MSTW CSV Exporter.

I missed the scroll bar. Below is the complete error.

Warning: require_once(/home4/killian/public_html/ladyvengeancesoftball.com/wp-content/plugins/./includes/mstw-utility-functions.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home4/killian/public_html/ladyvengeancesoftball.com/wp-content/plugins/mstw-csv-exporter/mstw-csv-exporter.php on line 78

        Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required ‘/home4/killian/public_html/ladyvengeancesoftball.com/wp-content/plugins/./includes/mstw-utility-functions.php’ (include_path=’.:/opt/php52/lib/php’) in /home4/killian/public_html/ladyvengeancesoftball.com/wp-content/plugins/mstw-csv-exporter/mstw-csv-exporter.php on line 78

I checked and mstw-utility-functions.php file is in the …/wp-content/plugins/mstw-csv-exporter/includes/ folder.

I have deleted all the plugins and installed the newest versions and started over.
        Good to go.

I am having the same error. I was trying to update and got the same problem not allowing me to add the plugin.

I am trying to download the roster so I can move them over to the new system.

I did not read and update from wordpress without reading your notes.

              Hi CrabFestGme,
Thanks for posting. I’m just a bit confused, but it sounds like you are trying to update Team Rosters, and have to export your existing data from the old version, and import it to the new version. When you installed MSTW CSV Exporter, you encountered the same fatal error that Nancy encountered above. Right?

I believe there is something going on with the mstw-utility-functions.php file, which is shared across all the MSTW plugins. Start by deactivating all the MSTW plugins you have installed, then activate CSV Exporter, then the remainder one-by-one (in any order, probably Team Rosters first, if that’s the one you need). Let me know what happens.

Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

Is this the result you got after deactivating all other MSTW plugins, then trying to install CSV Exporter?

I just reinstalled the plugin on both my development and test sites without problem. I also looked at the source, and it looks fine.

Did you check to see that the /includes/mstw-utility-functions.php file is in fact there? It should be, but I guess something could have happened with the install.

I also made a change to the plugin’s main file – mstw-csv-exporter.php – and uploaded it to the development trunk. You can download it from the plugin’s developers page. https://wordpress.org/plugins/mstw-csv-exporter/developers/. That’s the only file that changed, so it’s the only file you need to re-load on your site.

                    Let me know.
