I’m running WP 4.6.1. Using Glow Theme, ver 5.1.3.

Photos of our players appear fuzzy or blurry on Team Roster pages, but not when they’re displayed on other non-Team-Roster pages. Hopefully screen shots show what I’m talking about.

Here’s a screenshot of a blurry image from the Team Roster player profile page (160×229):

Here’s what the image looks like when not displayed on a Team Roster page (169×255):

Any idea why the images appear fuzzy on the Team Roster pages?

There can be a number of issues here. I believe there are a few posts on these forums, and/or the Team Rosters support forums on WP, about ‘fuzzy images’. You may want to do some digging in both forums.

        1. By default, the plugin uses 150×150 square images for players and team logos. You can change that, but you might start by trying 150×150 images (player photos and team logos). When you get the square photos looking good, start playing with plugin settings, the profile code, and/or CSS.

        2. Take a look your Dashboard -> Settings -> Media and see how your thumbnails are being uploaded. Mine is set to 150×150 in the links below

They look pretty good on the dev site … here and here.

If you are going to change the profile template (code or CSS) to a non-square aspect ratio, like 169×155, you may have to adjust this setting.

If you can send a link to one of your player profile pages with a fuzzy photo, that would help me help you.

        Let me know.

I cropped my source images to the shape of a square instead of a rectangle, and all is well. No more blurry pictures.

          Thanks for your help.
