Hello
I purchased the premium bracket builder and am having an issue when updating games.
After I enter in the teams etc and select update games after pressing the save button on the bottom of the screen I get the following message and the games do not update.
Update Games
Read the contextual help tab on the top right of this screen.January 1, 2022 at 10:25 pm #6624Hi Derrick,
Happy New Year! Well, I guess the smart-ass answer would be “Read the contextual help”. There you will find a link to a man page https://shoalsummitsolutions.com/bbp-update-games/ Did you try all that stuff?Actually, those lines are suppose to appear at the top of the page, then a bunch of controls as shown in the page page. So there is probably an error somewhere. Did you have the free version of MSTW Bracket Builder installed at some point? If so, did you deactivate and delete it?

If that’s not it, activate the WP Debug Log (https://wordpress.org/support/article/debugging-in-wordpress/), try to update games again, and see what pops up in the
debug.log
.Let me know.

Thanks for the information, I have tried the steps above and I am still getting the same result no controls after selecting update games.
I tried to activate the debug in the wordpress config however the Host company has it locked down so I cannot make the change.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks
January 2, 2022 at 9:47 pm #6653Just an update, I tried this on our old theme and it appears to work. When I use it on our new theme which is World Wide it gives the error.
The world wide theme is what we have installed on the test server as we are going to be implementing it shortly.
January 3, 2022 at 9:40 am #6654Hi Derrick,
Thanks for the update, it helps. If a plugin is working on one site but not the other, it’s probably something with the site. It seems strange that the theme would be the problem though. What else is different on the site? Match up the plugins. Try deactivating all the plugins (except BB) on the site that has the problem and see what happens.I will take a dive into the code when I get a chance and see what it might be but IDK, it works on both my dev sites.
As for the debugging, I’ve never had that problem with a host and my clients use lot’s of them. The debug log often tells you what’s up right away. (It also highlights other minor problems with plugins – using deprecated PHP, for example.) I would go back to the host about this, and I’d find another host if necessary, but that’s just me.
Let me know.
