Three admin screens support data entry: All Players, Add New Player, and Teams. Edit Player is the same screen as Add New Player, with the existing data displayed. Each screen is described below.
The Teams screen is used to enter data into the custom Teams taxonomy. Think of this custom taxonomy like you would “tags” for regular posts. It is NOT hierarchical like “categories” are. The first thing you should do when configuring a site is set up your Teams taxonomy. No rosters can be displayed unless and until Players are assigned to Teams.
All Players Screen
The All Players screen provides a list of all players as shown below. One cool new feature is that you can now filter the list by team just like you might filter regular posts by category or tag. Simply click on any player to access the Edit Player screen.
Add New Player/Edit Player Screen
The Add New Player/Edit Player screen is used to enter player data. The fields are self-explanatory and help is provided for ‘standard’ field usage. Remember however that you may override the value of any field by changing the column heading and data entries for that field. If for example you choose to display Weight then Height instead of the default Height then Weight, you would enter the Weight in the Height field and the Height in the Weight field and change the column/data field labels accordingly.
