    Ok, so this is working. For example, see Willie Mays (and many other player profiles on the MSTW Dev site). You are using a custom format, so I tried changing your pages to use a ‘standard’ like roster_type=base-pro. Your page is still hammered. Hummm, so exactly what do you mean when you say,

    Tried to upload and CHANGE to the new single player page

    Did you change the single-player.php template? You might want to take a look at these man pages
