Thank you for posting here. I can repeat this behavior on my test boxes. I believe it is caused by the new admin features added in release 2.9. You can check them out here https://shoalsummitsolutions.com/lm-admin-roles/.
It’s interesting that no one has found this, most likely because users log in as an admin, never an editor. (I don’t.) So thank you for bringing it to my attention. I am looking at the code, but I haven’t found the culprit yet. Stay tuned.
