I may be wrong but I believe the opponent selection overrides the opponent manual entry field but the game location manual entry field overrides the selection from the locations DB. Can we have it one way? I like the idea that if you have selected from a table, that overrides the manual selection.

Background is that when you upload games via CSV, a location is usually supplied for clarification. Current process requires me to do TWO things: select the stored location and delete the manual override. Having my suggestion would just mean I would only need to do 1 operation and be done with it. It would be quite convenient.

      Thanks.

        Hey Jay,
This is a side effect of plugin growth from entering everything manually, selecting a location from the Locations DB, and selecting an Opponent (with location) from the Teams DB. The current CSV Import function does NOT currently support the Teams DB and all it’s links. (It can’t do the why the DB keys are constructed.) So if import a schedule from a CSV file today, you are constrained to the original, manual way of data entry. You’ve nailed the primary reasons for the major re-write of the next release. The database keys have to be changed so the CSV import can support the linked DB tables, not just the single, unlinked tables. (c.f. our offline discussion of ‘spreadsheets’ and static tables versus relational databases.)
