Actually, those lines are suppose to appear at the top of the page, then a bunch of controls as shown in the page page. So there is probably an error somewhere. Did you have the free version of MSTW Bracket Builder installed at some point? If so, did you deactivate and delete it?

If that’s not it, activate the WP Debug Log (https://wordpress.org/support/article/debugging-in-wordpress/), try to update games again, and see what pops up in the debug.log.
